Quiet change of power. Meizu now has a new leader

Huang Zhipan is the younger brother of Huang Zhang, the former CEO of the company. The company has not made any official statements related to the change of leader. It is also unknown when this step was taken.

Meizu’s new CEO’s appointment indicates that the company is looking for a new direction as it tries to maintain its position in the highly competitive smartphone market. Meizu previously released a press statement describing the company’s plans for the smartphone business. The manufacturer has bluntly stated that Meizu plans to stay in the expensive phone market.

Meizu is also silent about its return to international markets, so the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro phones may remain exclusively in the Chinese market.
