Razer Launches Kraken V3 X 7.1 Chroma RGB Gaming Headset
Razer has unveiled a new version of its Kraken gaming headset. The new Kraken V3 X repeats the Kraken X model’s external features, presented in 2019, but contains some distinctive features, the main one of which is new sound drivers.
The Razer Kraken V3 X uses TriForce drivers that debuted last year with the Blackshark V2 Pro gaming headset. However, their size is 40 mm instead of 50 mm for the Blackshark V2 Pro. Simultaneously, the updated model still offers support for virtual surround sound 7.1 Surround Sound and other Razer headsets; the new product offers support for THX Spatial Audio technology. It allows you to form a three-dimensional audio picture with a depth effect, which enhances the gaming experience and, in certain situations, gives an advantage over rivals. For its operation, a special paid application is required, for which the manufacturer offers a 50 percent discount when purchasing Kraken V3 X.
Additionally, it is worth noting the headset’s equipment with a cardioid microphone, which will register only the user’s voice and not the ambient noise. On the right earpiece, there are controls: you can adjust the volume and mute the microphone.
Another highlight of the Kraken V3 X headset is the Razer Chroma RGB lighting. The company’s logos on the outside of the earbuds can be illuminated in 16.8 million colors and shades. The headset uses a USB Type-A connection to a PC instead of the usual 3.5mm connector to support this feature.
The manufacturer also points to updated ear cushions made of hybrid fabric and memory foam. The Kraken V3 X weighs 285 grams. For comparison, the Kraken X weighs 250 grams, and the original Kraken headset weighs 320 grams.
The Kraken V3 X gaming headset has already gone on sale. The company estimates the novelty at $ 70 or $94.24.
