The connection between Realme UI and ColorOS resembles the Magic UI and EMUI tandem
At the launch event for the Narzo 20 series in India, Realme also officially unveiled the proprietary Realme UI 2.0 skin based on Android 11. As expected, this is a slightly modified version of ColorOS 11 for Oppo smartphones. Unfortunately, unlike Oppo, realme did not reveal the list of supported devices and the update schedule.
Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 presented. This is a copy of ColorOS 11
Last week, Oppo held a special launch event for ColorOS 11. Realme UI 2.0 is almost a complete copy of ColorOS 11 with some minor changes. That is why the presentation was very short. It is worth noting that the connection between Realme UI and ColorOS is reminiscent of the Magic UI and EMUI tandem – in fact, this is the same firmware for Honor and Huawei smartphones, respectively. Therefore, just refer to our ColorOS 11 announcement to find out about the features of Realme UI 2.0. We also had a separate note about Realme UI 2.0.
You might also recall that until last year, Realme phones ran ColorOS out of the box. But with the release of Android 10, the brand changed its strategy and created its own proprietary Realme UI.
At today’s event, the company announced more or less specific release dates for the update only for its flagship smartphone Realme X50 Pro. The closed beta version for this phone will be available from September 24th, followed by an open beta test at the end of October, and the final version will be released in late November.
You can find the approximate release dates for the firmware for other smartphones in our previous post .
