The first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 gaming flagship smartphone goes on sale in China today. In fact, we are talking about two models, Red Magic 8 Pro and Red Magic 8 Pro +, which were presented this week .
The Red Magic 8 Pro series uses a 6.8-inch OLED flat screen with a resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels with a 16MP front camera located under the display surface.
The aspect ratio of the screen is 20:9, the resolution is 2480 x 1116 pixels. High refresh rate of 120Hz and touch sampling rate of 960Hz are supported.
The difference between Red Magic 8 Pro and Red Magic 8 Pro+ is mainly battery and fast charging: the former uses a 6000 mAh battery and 80 W wired charging, the latter uses a 5000 mAh battery with support for 165 W charging.
The main camera has image sensors with a resolution of 50, 8 and 2 megapixels. The Red Magic 8 Pro series has a built-in Magic Cooling ICE 11.0 cooling system with a fan.
The price starts at $575 for the Red Magic 8 Pro 8GB/128GB version and ends at $1005 for the Red Magic 8 Pro+ Transparent Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB flash.
