By the end of the year, the airline plans to receive one SSJ-100
General Director of Red Wings airline Evgeny Solodilin spoke about the replenishment of the aircraft fleet. The carrier expects to receive one SSJ-100 by the end of the year, and is also waiting for the Tu-214 and Tu-204, which were abandoned in 2018.
“ Now the fleet consists of 20 Sukhoi Superjets, 3 wide-body Boeing 777s and 2 special aircraft, which we serve for corporate orders and not only. This year we plan to receive another Sukhoi Superjet, we really hope for this ,” said Evgeny Solodilin.
Red Wings will receive Tu-214 and Tu-204, which they abandoned in 2018
“ These are aircraft [restored Tu-214 and Tu-204] , which were previously operated by Red Wings, but in 2018 the airline abandoned this fleet. The time has come when these aircraft come back to the airline. It will be a really big event for us in 2023 and we are really looking forward to it ,” he added.
So far, airlines are receiving restored Tu-214s, but deliveries of new passenger liners will begin next year, and from 2025 they plan to produce 10 aircraft per year with an output of 20 aircraft per year in 2027 . 41.8 billion rubles will be allocated to expand the production of Tu-214 .
