The Redmi Revolution event took place today in India, during which a number of new products were presented. The most important and interesting thing is the global premiere of Redmi 12 5G. Once again, Xiaomi has presented a smartphone with a tempting ratio of features and cost.
Now about the prices. Redmi 12 5G is offered in India in three variants: 4/128 GB for $135, 6/128 GB for $150, and 8/256 GB for $175.

Redmi 12 5G is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 single-chip system – this is its key difference from Redmi 12 4G, built on MediaTek Helio G88 SoC.
The creators note that Redmi 12 5G received the largest screen in the class – the diagonal is 6.79 inches, and the resolution and frame rate are Full HD + and 90 Hz. The display is protected by tempered Gorilla Glass. They also focus on the camera with two sensors, while the resolution of the main one is 50 megapixels. Finally, the device received IP53 protection.
Other features of Redmi 12 5G include a 5000 mAh battery, an IR emitter and a standard headphone jack. The smartphone is running Android 13 with MIUI 14 interface.
