Redmi K40 Pro will leave the proprietary retractable camera

Presumably, this will keep the cost of the smartphone at an acceptable level.

Earlier Redmi confirmed that the company is preparing to release a flagship smartphone based on the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Presumably, this smartphone will be the Redmi K40 Pro, which should replace the current flagship Redmi K30 Pro on the market.

Redmi K40 Pro will leave the proprietary retractable camera

According to the latest data, Redmi K40 Pro will lose the proprietary retractable selfie camera that the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro had. The source claims that Redmi K40 Pro will be equipped with a more traditional front-facing camera for most smartphones in the upper left corner of the screen. Presumably, this will keep the cost of the smartphone at an acceptable level.

Redmi K40 Pro should get a flat OLED screen, and the hole for the front camera will have a diagonal of only 3.7 mm. One of the drawbacks of the Redmi K30 Pro was that its screen only supported a refresh rate of 60 Hz, so the new smartphone will definitely get a screen with an increased refresh rate.

In addition to the flagship platform, support for fast charging is also expected. As for the standard model Redmi K40, it should receive an LCD screen, a single-chip Dimensity 1000+ system, and a 4500 mAh battery.

Smartphones are expected to be announced later this year or early next.
