Redmi K40 smartphones will receive the world’s smallest display hole for the front camera
Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Redmi brand created by Xiaomi, has shared new information about the Redmi K40 family smartphones, which are expected to be officially unveiled this month.
According to the available information, the named family will include three models – Redmi K40, Redmi K40S, and Redmi K40 Pro. The series’s senior representative will receive the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, while other devices will use the Density 1200 and Snapdragon 870 chips.
According to Mr. Weibing, it was decided to equip the new items with a display with a hole in the center’s upper part for a single front camera. In this case, special attention will be paid to ensuring the maximum possible ratio of the screen area to the case’s front surface.
In particular, the head of Redmi said that the new items would boast of the world’s smallest hole for a selfie module. Now the title of the record holder belongs to the Vivo S5, which has a hole diameter of 2.98 mm.
It is expected that the displays of Redmi K40 devices will be made with OLED technology. This is a high refresh rate. New items will receive a battery with fast charging support.
