Redmi’s general manager, Lu Weibing, used his social media to tease the Chinese public about the possible release of a Redmi K50 SE. This device was completely off the radar of rumors.
Weibing even questioned users of the Weibo social network whether an SE model could make sense within the K50 lineup, as many manufacturers also design similar devices.
In response to the executive, many users agreed with the idea of having a more affordable model with the features of the Redmi K50 line.
However, despite wide public acceptance, Weibing did not respond to inquiries nor did he respond to a request from a fan who suggested the executive indicate the specifications of the Redmi K50 SE before asking the question.
So far, Redmi has yet to give any sign of a possible release date for the Redmi K50 range. Anyway, the devices of this generation should come out of the box with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Dimensity 7000, or Snapdragon 870 processors.
The expectation is that most models will still have options with up to 12 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage by default, 50 MP or 108 MP cameras, in addition to a 4,000 mAh battery with a fast-charging solution that can reach 120W.
