Xiaomi has never done this before
Xiaomi regularly updates its “hit list” – a list of smartphones whose software support has ended. This year, a very popular model, Redmi Note 9 Pro, was added to the EOS (End of support) list. Of course, users of the device were not happy with this decision, but nothing can be done – the period of software support has ended.

However, what was the surprise when Xiaomi continued to update the Redmi Note 9 Pro. For example, release security updates for it. This gave rise to even more discussions on the forums, and the company simply could not help but respond: under the pressure of public opinion, Xiaomi removed the Redmi Note 9 Pro from the EOS list.
It is still not clear why the smartphone was even included in the “hit list” if the company was not going to stop supporting it. But this, apparently, will remain a mystery.
