The book is priced at $ 39.99 in hardcover and $ 23.99 in digital form, includes 272 pages, and weighs just over 0.5kg, named by BioWare itself and published by Dark Horse Books.

The official description reads:

“Contains extensive new DLC material for all three games, including the award-winning Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2 and the fan-favorite Citadel for Mass Effect 3.

Check out the evolution of aliens, planets, ships, and technology that define this iconic sci-fi universe as the developers who brought BioWare’s masterpiece to life will guide you from the earliest design sketches to meticulous final renderings.

Packed with concept art and commentary, this extended edition is the best addition to one of the greatest franchises in gaming history! “

By itself, the announcement of this book about the artistic side of Mass Effect is not a revelation. However, in the context of persistent rumors that BioWare is working on a re-release of the first three Mass Effect and is going to release them before March 31, 2021, such an album can certainly serve as an additional reason for optimism. Perhaps the release date of the book in February 2021 also points to the launch time of the unannounced reissue of the trilogy? At the very least, we can hope so.
