Thanks to “new internal chassis architecture”

Last year, Apple announced a subtle but important design change for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus: both phones had a removable back panel, making repairs easier and cheaper. This year, Apple did the same with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which also featured a removable back panel.

The iPhone 15 Pro has a new titanium case that is stronger and lighter than stainless steel. During the presentation of the new iPhones, Apple noted that repairing the iPhone 15 Pro has become easier thanks to a “new internal chassis architecture” that allows for “easily replacing the rear glass.”

This change was also reflected in the price of official repairs. On its support site, Apple confirms that replacing the back glass of the iPhone 15 Pro will cost less than a similar repair on previous models.
