Indeed, it appears that Capcom has begun to warn members of the Ambassador program about an upcoming announcement that will take place around June 10th. As we can see from the image you find in the article – shared on Twitter by MattRPD -, the Japanese company is keen to clarify that the date chosen may be subject to variations. In these times, in fact, it is quite plausible that a problem of the last hour leads to the postponement of an event.

But what can we expect to see announced around June 10th? All the clues point to Resident Evil 8the next main chapter of the series which should be released during 2021. For some years, in fact, Capcom has begun to adopt a very aggressive release strategy for the saga, with which it aims to publish one title per year alternating unpublished episodes with remakes.

In 2020 we witnessed the debut of Resident Evil 3 Remake – certainly the weakest project in the recent past of the saga -, while next year it will be the turn of Resident Evil 8, which will be followed by the remake of Resident Evil 4 scheduled for 2022. This is undoubtedly a very tight lineup, but the fact that the titles are not all entrusted to the same team should still guarantee a good quality level also for the next productions.

Recall that Resident Evil 8 should adopt a setting very close to that of the seventh chapter , since it will resume the events of Ethan Winters and could mark the return of Chris Redflield, already appeared both in the final bars of RE 7 and in the additional content to dedicated to him. In short, there is very little missing on June 10 and we are curious to find out what Capcom has in store for us.
