Returnal’s high-budget roguelike goes gold – coming April 30

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Housemarque have announced that the upcoming adventure shooter Returnal has gone gold. This means that the game’s development has been completed, and the project is ready for mass production.

Return is set in the distant future. The main character is Selena, a girl astronaut who was shipwrecked on an unknown planet, where the technology of an ancient civilization is constantly changing the world around.

In Return, every defeat and death takes you back to the beginning of your journey. The game world is randomly generated. You have to cycle after cycle to try new strategies and approaches, discover combinations, and expand your abilities. Intense battles and labyrinths full of secrets await you.
