Samsung will soon release an affordable Galaxy A22 and a slimmed-down version of the Galaxy F22

Today portal SamMobile published information on the development of a budget smartphone Samsung Galaxy F22. Interestingly, the device will be based on the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A22. At first glance, it may seem strange to start developing a smartphone based on a device that does not yet exist, but in reality, everything is simple.

The previous experience of the South Korean company is cited as an argument about the similarity of the Galaxy F22 and Galaxy A22. As a rule, Samsung releases devices similar to Galaxy A in the Galaxy F family, but with some simplifications. However, they do not affect the cameras, and it turns out that the Galaxy F is becoming one of the cheapest devices on the market with good camera modules.

In April, the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy A22 smartphone became known through the Geekbench benchmark database. The device will be powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 700 chip with 5G support and 6GB of RAM. The blogger with the nickname TheTechGuy, who is known for publishing accurate leaks about Samsung devices, announced the start of the Galaxy F22. The Galaxy F22 will probably be a simplified version of the A22 and will only receive LTE support instead of 5G. Accordingly, the Galaxy F22 is likely to be distributed in countries where the 5G launch has not yet taken place, or the networks are in the early stages of development.

Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy F22 and Galaxy A22 are expected to have three rear camera systems: a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle module, and a 2MP depth sensor. Speaking of the selfie camera, it will have 13 megapixels and will be located in a waterdrop notch above the screen.
