Rocket League’s mobile spinoff to hit iOS and Android before the end of the year

Studio Psyonix, on the official website of its multiplayer arcade game Rocket League, announced Rocket League Sideswipe – “created from scratch” mobile offshoot of the popular game.

Rocket League Sideswipe will be distributed on a shareware model. The project is intended for devices running iOS and Android, and the premiere is scheduled for this year.

Along with the announcement, the alpha testing of Rocket League Sideswipe for Android has started in Australia and New Zealand. Psyonix will tell you about trials in other regions “in the coming months.

According to the developers, Rocket League Sideswipe is based on “the core of the competitive gameplay of Rocket League, reimagined for the mobile device

Rocket League Sideswipe is designed for “dynamic two-minute matches” in  1v1” and “2v2” formats, which take place on the field from an unusual angle – the camera shows what is happening from the side.

Rocket League Sideswipe promises comfortable handling with advanced mechanics, customizing cars in the spirit of the original Rocket League, and competitive ranks.

Rocket League debuted in July 2015 on PC and PS4 and has since made its way to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. In the five years since the initial release, the number of players has exceeded 75 million ..”
