The Russian state corporation Rosatom is negotiating with Belarus an agreement on a nuclear research reactor project, as stated by the director of the state corporation’s office in Belarus, Stanislav Levitsky.
An intergovernmental agreement is being worked out regarding the research reactor. The question is complex, the issue is complex. For a project to be implemented, it must be based on a clear feasibility study. I know that shortly we will have several rounds of negotiations, and contacts with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, with the involvement of other republican bodies to develop a more or less final configuration of the reactor, in what form we will implement it.

Rosatom is discussing the construction of a nuclear reactor with Belarus
In the spring, Rosatom stated that they hoped to sign a Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on a nuclear research reactor in Belarus by the end of 2023.
The construction of a research nuclear reactor at the Joint Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research in Sosny is currently being discussed.
