RTX 3080 cannot deliver 60fps in Crysis Remastered at maximum settings and 4K resolution

The author of the popular YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips, Linus Sebastian, posted a video about testing Crysis Remastered. The blogger ran the game at maximum settings and in 4K resolution using a PC with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. As it turned out, the flagship GPU of the new generation is nowhere near 60 fps in the remaster with the mentioned configuration.

Linus Sebastian’s computer, in addition to the RTX 3080, was equipped with an Intel Core i9-10900K CPU and 32 GB of RAM. Crysis Remastered was launched in 4K resolution and with maximum settings, which in the project are called “Will it handles Crysis?” … On average, the game showed from 25 to 32 frames / s.

Then the blogger slightly lowered the settings, but he still failed to achieve a stable 60 frames / s. The indicator ranged from 41 to 70 frames / s, however, Linus Sebastian did not say what kind of graphic settings he set.

Recall: recently a similar test was carried out by developers from Crytek using an internal toolkit. However, they used less powerful hardware and experienced 1080p gaming at very high graphics settings.

Crysis Remastered will be released today, September 18, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game appeared on Nintendo Switch back in July.
