Rumors: Sony has begun to translate the announcement trailer for the “soft” restart of Silent Hill in different languages

Verified insider Dusk Golem (aka AestheticGamer) on the ResetEra forum shared the available information about the behind-the-scenes details of the still unannounced “soft” restart Silent Hill.

We will remind you, rumors about the return of Silent Hill through the efforts of allegedly Sony Interactive Entertainment persistently spread throughout 2020. Still, the promised announcement was not and is not.

Despite the lack of news about the project (and even an official denial of its existence), Dusk Golem has no doubts about the information obtained and therefore decided to share his knowledge.

According to an insider, the debut trailer for the upcoming Silent Hill allegedly “just recently” was sent “to various branches of Sony [Interactive Entertainment] Worldwide Studios for translation for the announcement

The very fact of the video’s existence in the eyes of Dusk Golem is beyond doubt: “I delayed disclosing this information, but I have already checked everything three times (including a source I trust 100%), and therefore I am sharing

At the same time, there is no longer any certainty about the developer studio: if earlier it was believed that SIE Japan Studio was responsible for the project, now the insider speaks of Sony only as of the owner of marketing rights.

As a reminder, last week, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka mentioned (the video was removed, but not at the request of Konami ) that he is involved in developing the anticipated game, which should be presented this summer.
