Recall that Microsoft announced its plans to purchase the media holding back in September 2020, but the deal received approval from American and European regulators only at the beginning of March 2021.

VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb predicted Microsoft’s upcoming online event to acquire ZeniMax Media (and its affiliate Bethesda Softworks) at the end of February and has now set a specific date, March 11.

According to Grubb, at the upcoming show (its format is not specified), the American platform-holder will tell what the agreement means for both parties and how it will affect fans of the Bethesda Softworks franchises.

Grubb warns that details about upcoming Bethesda Softworks projects will not be released as part of the broadcast. For example, with Starfield, a new piece of information will have to wait until this summer.

What viewers should expect is news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Already released Bethesda Softworks games should replenish the service library shortly, and projects that are preparing for release – on the day of release.

Finally, the journalist admitted that he does not know whether Microsoft will clarify the platform affiliation of the upcoming Bethesda Softworks developments – Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI, or the game about Indiana Jones at the show.
