At the RuStore Mobile Conf conference, it was announced that from 2024 the Russian application store RuStore will be automatically installed on smartphones running the Aurora operating system.
Alexander Rusnak, lead project manager, emphasized that the innovation will become a reality from the fifth generation of the operating system. Then developers will have the opportunity to independently publish their applications. This step, according to Rusnak, will make RuStore the main application store for devices using the Aurora OS.
RuStore will be pre-installed on all smartphones with Aurora
The press service of the Open Mobile Platform, the developer of Aurora, emphasized that the emergence of a leading application store on this operating system indicates the growth of the ecosystem and the capabilities of the Russian mobile OS.
“Aurora” is the first domestic mobile operating system to successfully pass certification by the FSB of Russia and registered by Rospatent.
RuStore is the official Russian mobile application store, it was launched in May 2022.
