Saber Interactive is the developer of the version of The Witcher 3 for next-gen consoles

CD Projekt President Adam Kicinski, in a recent conversation with investors, commented on the announcement of the version of the action RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the next generation consoles.

As it turned out, the creation of an improved edition of the third “The Witcher” is not engaged in CD Projekt itself, but Saber Interactive – the studio-developer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Nintendo Switch.

According to Kicinski, CD Projekt itself turned to Saber Interactive for help – the company needed a reliable partner so as not to be distracted from the Cyberpunk 2077 production process.

Kichinsky added that the decision to release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on new systems was dictated by the desire to extend the life cycle of the game – in May, the cult action game turned five years old.

“The Witcher 3 is still selling well, and we are convinced that the updated version to the level of recent or not yet released games will be a great help in the matter of sales over the next – who knows – four or five years,” Kicinsky is sure.

The updated edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt promises visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster downloads, as well as all the content already released for the game in a set.

An improved version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will hit stores in 2021 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X. Owners of the original game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One will get the remaster for free.
