Over the year they fell by 18%

In November, total wholesale shipments (local retail sales and exports) of Tesla vehicles assembled in China fell from the same period a year earlier.

Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicle volume totaled 82,432 units last month, down nearly 18% from a year ago, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

We must also take into account the fact that a year ago the result was a record high – 100,291 cars. Then Tesla began cutting prices to stimulate sales. Compared to October 2023, sales volume increased by more than 10,000 units

Sales of Chinese-made Teslas have collapsed. The company is losing market share

It is too early to say that Tesla has problems in China, especially since the company is trying to increase production and sales of the significantly modernized Model 3 (Highland) and the slightly updated Tesla Model Y in China. However, this year’s growth dynamics will be much lower than in previous years, and potentially lower than the market average, which, according to insideevs, means that Tesla is losing its market share.

In the first ten months of the year, Tesla sold more than 460,000 Model 3 and Model Y models in China (up 38% year-on-year) and exports topped 300,000 (up 20% year-on-year).
