Samsung, Apple, and Huawei have tensed up. Xiaomi broke into fourth place in Western Europe

The Strategy Analytics report confirms that Xiaomi is growing steadily in the smartphone market of Western Europe and has now firmly established itself in fourth place in the ranking of the largest smartphone vendors. Such “bison” as Samsung, Apple, and Huawei overtake the Chinese beginner. And this is after a market share of 0% only 2.5 years ago.

Xiaomi’s global total shipments remained unchanged in the first quarter of 2020. However, despite the lack of growth, Xiaomi looks advantageous against the background of a general drop in shipments in the global smartphone market by 17% compared to the same quarter last year. As a result, the market share in the international market reached a historical level of 10% for Xiaomi.

According to analysts, the crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic affected Xiaomi less than other Chinese brands, including Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo. This is due to the large geographical reach and significant use of online channels for sales.
