Samsung delays launch of its augmented reality headset due to Apple’s Vision Pro announcement

The deadline has been pushed back three to six months.

Samsung is working on a new augmented reality (XR) headset. And due to the announcement of Apple Vision Pro, the Korean giant decided to postpone the launch of its product.

Initially, Samsung planned to start mass production in early 2024, but now the deadline has shifted by three to six months. That is, the device will be released at best in the middle of 2024, and maybe at the end.

The reason for this decision is the announcement of Apple Vision Pro. More precisely, the parameters and capabilities of the headset of the Cupertino giant. 

There is no exact data, but it is likely that Samsung decided to improve its headset against the backdrop of what the competitor showed. Unfortunately, there are no details about the parameters of the Samsung headset yet.
