Pandemic continues to crush many companies
The release of the Samsung Galaxy S20 + 5G Olympic Games Edition smartphone is officially canceled. The Japanese operator NTT Docomo, which received exclusive rights to sell a special version of the Galaxy S20 +, canceled the smartphone’s output in connection with the transfer of the Olympic Games.
Samsung disappointed with the cancellation of an interesting flagship smartphone
Samsung initially promised to release the device in July 2020. In March, it was reported that the smartphone could go on sale, but after the International Olympic Committee announced the transfer of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, the South Korean technology and Japanese mobile operator decided not to release the Samsung Galaxy S20 + 5G Olympic Games Edition.
Samsung and NTT Docomo are expected to announce a new version of the flagship smartphone, which will be timed to coincide with the 2021 Summer Olympics. Obviously, by that time it will be about the next flagship smartphone of the South Korean company, which will be released under the name Samsung Galaxy S21 or Samsung Galaxy S30. So far, Samsung has not announced how it plans to name the new Galaxy S line of smartphones.
