Samsung Exynos processors will appear in smartphones from leading Chinese brands

BusinessKorea reports that a large number of smartphones based on Samsung Exynos processors may soon appear on the market. Now, these chips are used mainly in Samsung’s own Galaxy devices and are also rarely found in devices from third-party companies, for example, Motorola and Meizu.

Samsung is now reportedly in talks to supply Exynos processors for smartphones from a number of leading Chinese brands. Among them are called Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo – all of these companies are included in the ranking of the world’s largest suppliers of cellular devices.

Shipments of Exynos products to the named developers, according to BusinessKorea, will be organized in the first half of next year. Initially, these processors will form the basis of relatively inexpensive devices. If successful, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo may start using Exynos performance solutions in smartphones of the upper price segment.

Thus, in the market for smartphones and processors for them, a serious redistribution is planned against the background of the weakening of Huawei’s position under the pressure of US sanctions. Other Chinese manufacturers, who will need more processors, will try to occupy the company’s niche in the smartphone segment. And apart from Samsung, Qualcomm and MediaTek will certainly fight for orders for them.
