Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be optimized for Xbox Game Pass streaming service with improved S-Pen stylus

The release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series smartphones is due on August 5, and a lot is already known about the upcoming devices. The latest leak reveals some details regarding the alleged optimizations for Microsoft’s Xbox gaming services and the new S Pen stylus, which will offer users a more comfortable experience when using it.

According to the Internet publication WinFuture, Samsung is paying a lot of attention to the stylus for the new flagship. The upcoming S Pen will have a response time of less than 9ms, making it almost indistinguishable from writing or drawing on paper. In addition, new fruits of cooperation between Samsung and Microsoft are reported. These are likely to be advanced sync with OneNote and gesture commands.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra could also be the first smartphone to be optimized for the Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming service. In other words, the company plans to closely integrate the smartphone with Microsoft Project xCloud, the essence of which is the ability to run games in the cloud without installing them on the device. This service acts as an analog of Google Stadia and NVIDIA GeForce Now.

Thus, Samsung is likely planning to position the new flagship as a portable gaming device, and the high refresh rate of the display will only emphasize this direction.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 family, which is expected in early August, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ and Samsung Exynos 990 processors (depending on sales region). The basic version of the device will receive a flat display with a refresh rate of only 60 Hz and a triple main camera with a maximum resolution of 64 megapixels. The advanced Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will boast a 120Hz screen with rounded edges and the ability to capture 108MP photos.
