Samsung: a tweet heralds the end of the Galaxy Note series

Rumors of a possible farewell to the beloved Galaxy Note series by Samsung had been in the air for some time, increased after the announcement of the new Galaxy S21 and in particular of the Ultra model that implements support for the S-Pen. Despite in recent days, an executive of the South Korean giant had declared that the Galaxy Note series would be fleshed out by the arrival of new smartphones in the course of 2021, in the last few hours, several rumors have bounced that would predict exactly the opposite.

A tweet from the popular Ice Universe leaker would have confirmed how Samsung has officially decided to lower the curtain on the Galaxy Note series. Inside the post stands a rather emblematic image with the words “Galaxy Note” at the bottom, a message that would leave very little room for interpretation.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra was launched last week and is the first smartphone in the Galaxy S series to introduce the stylus support, an emblematic feature of the Notes, even if it is not supplied directly in the box but must be purchased separately, as well as the charger and the headphones.

During the official presentation of the new Samsung S21, it was then the same company to announce that over the next few months, several Galaxy smartphones will introduce stylus support. With these premises, it becomes difficult to think that the Note series can still find space within the line-up of devices that the company will announce in the course of 2021 and in future years.

Samsung has not yet released a statement about it and it is not excluded that it may do so in the next few hours, given the importance of the news. However, given that the information comes from a source very close to the activities of the Seoul-based tech giant, the chances that what is reported actually reflect reality are very high.

Finally, we cannot rule out the possibility that Samsung may actually decide to put an end to one of the most popular series of the Android smartphone landscape but not before having announced the latest model in the coming months, especially in light of other rumors that would see the Galaxy Note 21 under development and ready to hit the market this year.
