Update scheduled for June.
Samsung has decided on the release date of a large update of the proprietary shell One UI 2.1 for smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note9.
Samsung Galaxy Note9 users will be in for a big surprise. One UI 2.1 Update Announced
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note9 smartphones were flagship devices in 2018. Representatives of the digging company for a long time either confirmed the plans for the release of One UI 2.1, then refuted them. Then messages appeared about real tests of “real” firmware for Galaxy Note9 – under the number N960NKSU3ETD1 for South Korea and N960FXXU5ETD5 for Europe.
Now the moderator of the official Samsung Members community in South Korea said that the release of One UI 2.1 for Galaxy Note9 is scheduled for June 2020. The moderator is part of the Samsung software development team.
It is also noted that Samsung is still deciding which of the innovations will be included in the firmware. The initial release may take place only for South Korea, and for other regions to occur later.
By the way, the shell of One UI 2.1 is already available for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Despite the fact that this model is completely new, it uses the same single-chip system as in the flagships of 2018. The shell adds new AR-emojis, the Quick Share file sharing function, the Music Share function, the “professional” video mode, as well as support for shooting front-facing video with 4K resolution at 60 fps and much more.
