And it’s very easy to activate
As you know, Samsung equipped its new flagship smartphones with screens with a frame frequency of 120 Hz. Compared to 90-Hertz displays, such screens should provide an even smoother picture, but you have to pay for this with autonomy.
Perhaps it would be better if Samsung added some intermediate to the 60 and 120 Hz modes. For example, the same 90-hertz. It is unlikely that this will ever happen, but, as it turned out, the owners of the brand new Galaxy S20 smartphones can cope without a manufacturer.
XDA resource specialists discovered the hidden capabilities of Samsung’s flagships regarding screen modes. Below you can see which modes the devices can actually support.
In particular, there is a resolution mode HD +, as well as a frame frequency of 48 and 96 Hz. Of course, the 96-hertz mode at Full HD + resolution looks most interesting. And it can be activated manually, and it’s not difficult to do it – one of the XDA community members created a simple program S20 Refresh Rate Control to switch between screen modes.
