Smartphones have different RAM sizes and screen resolutions, but the test results are very similar
Samsung Galaxy S21 models are expected to be powered by Qualcomm and Samsung’s latest 5nm SoCs, Snapdragon 888, and Exynos 2100 respectively. The Exynos 2100 is expected to be announced today, but in the meantime, we have test results for the Galaxy S21 + and S21 Ultra based on the Exynos 2100.
Samsung Galaxy S21 + and S21 Ultra compared right before today’s announcement of Exynos 2100
As you can see, the Galaxy S21 Ultra (SM-G998B) and Galaxy S21 + (SM-G996B) benchmark results are very similar, despite the Galaxy S21 + GPU running at 1080p and the Galaxy S21 Ultra running at 1440p. In addition, there is a difference in the amount of RAM: 8 GB in the Galaxy S21 + versus 12 GB in the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
However, the Geekbench 5 results are mainly focused on the performance of the processor cores, which is quite good and should improve even more by the time smartphones are released.
Last week, the company posted a short video titled Thank you, with which the South Korean giant thanked fans for their support during this challenging time and promised to show something on December 15, which is today.
