Much better than its predecessor, but worse than the Galaxy S23

Samsung today officially unveiled the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. The new model is better than its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE, but the volume of innovations cannot be called impressive.

Depending on the country, the Galaxy S23 FE may use either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or the Exynos 2200. This is a clear upgrade over the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 in the Galaxy S21 FE. The amount of RAM was 8 GB, and the amount of flash memory was 128 or 256 GB.

The main sensor of the main camera has a resolution of 50 MP versus 12 MP for the Galaxy S21 FE. The resolution of the remaining sensors is 10 megapixels (with an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 123°) and 8 megapixels (with a telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom). The front camera resolution is 10 megapixels.

Galaxy S23 FE received a flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a diagonal of 6.4 inches, Full HD+ resolution, and a frame rate of 120 Hz.

he dimensions of the new product are 158 × 76.5 × 8.2 mm, weight – 209 grams. We can say that with almost the same dimensions, the smartphone has become much heavier since the weight of the Galaxy S21 FE is 177 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be updated for 5 years: it will receive 4 major Android updates and another year of security updates. The pre-installed shell is One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. The device has a 4500 mAh battery with support for 25 W charging (wireless charging is supported), and there is IP68 protection.
