New Fitness Features and HandWash App
Samsung Electronics has released a software update for its 2020 Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch.
Samsung has expanded the functionality of the smartwatch Galaxy Watch 3. Added support for SmartThings Find and more
The 74 MB firmware with the number R840XXU1BUA8 is currently available for users in the USA, India, and South Korea. You can install it through the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone.
The update brings new features to the watch. Among the innovations, we can especially note the SmartThings Find service’s emerging support, which was presented simultaneously with the flagship series of smartphones, Galaxy S21.
SmartThings Find lets you quickly and easily find compatible Galaxy devices, even when disconnected from your smartphone, according to the manufacturer’s description. The first to receive such an update was the Galaxy Active Watch 2, and now it’s the turn of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.
After installing the update, the clock can be found on the map. If the user is nearby, then the clock can be ordered to ring. Interesting augmented reality effects are also supported, where the images on the screen increase in saturation as they get closer to the lost watch.
The Galaxy Watch 3 has new health and fitness options, including group outings with friends and new exercise programs for the home. The HandWash application will be installed automatically; the watch will learn to detect when the user is washing their hands and remind them to rewash them.
