Samsung is preparing to release a “budget” version of the flexible smartphone Galaxy Z Flip

On the foreign portal Gizmochina, information appeared that Samsung may be working on a Lite version of the Galaxy Z Flip. The smartphone will retain its unusual flexible clamshell form factor, but it will cost less.

Previously, there were materials on the web about an affordable device with a flexible display, but then one of the parameters on which the company could save was considered screen coverage. At that time, it was assumed that the company would return the plastic coating, instead of the ultra-thin glass that appeared in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. But, as Gizmochina reports, with reference to the authoritative insider Ross Young, the device will have all the same hardware solutions as the last generations bendable smartphones. Ross Young himself also confirmed the smartphone development process.

At the moment, the cost of the Galaxy Z series starts at 97,454.31 for the Galaxy Z Flip. More expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 – in the official Samsung store, it costs 1,75,425.55. The launch of the low-cost Galaxy Z Flip could spur the flexible smartphone market and reach a wider audience.
