Samsung may start using automotive technology in its smartphones. More specifically, we are talking about batteries. According to The Elec, Samsung SDI is developing new equipment for stacking components in batteries in collaboration with two Chinese companies.
Samsung smartphones could get their hands on automotive technology
This method is actively used in modern car batteries, but may soon find application in the mobile segment. Samsung plans to apply this method to small batteries designed for smartphones, tablets, laptops and other consumer electronics devices.
In fact, the project has not yet been launched at all. The company talked about this last year, and now it already has a pilot line for the production of such batteries. Now we are talking about the fact that Samsung mobile devices can receive such batteries very soon.
With regard to the advantage of this method, an example of a 5000 mAh battery was previously given, which, through stacking, can be “turned” into a 5500 mAh battery with the same dimensions.
