The unannounced Galaxy Watch6 will be the first to receive it
Samsung Electronics has revealed more details about the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature coming to its Galaxy Watch smartwatch.
According to the official press release, the IHRN feature will be available in 13 regions by the end of summer 2023. The IHRN feature checks for irregular heart rhythms in the background and alerts the user to potential atrial fibrillation activity.

The IHRN feature was approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) last week and received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in May.
IHRN will be available in Argentina, Azerbaijan, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Panama, UAE, as well as Korea and the USA.
The innovation will become available as part of the One UI 5 Watch platform for the next Samsung smartwatch scheduled for release this year (presumably the Galaxy Watch6). Then the function will be distributed to users of already released Galaxy Watch models in the form of a software update.
