Samsung to launch Odyssey Neo gaming monitors with Mini LED panels

According to the resource LetsGoDigital, the company Samsung has sent applications for registration of the Odyssey Neo trademark: under this name, new computer monitors are expected to enter the market.

Applications were sent to several departments around the world at once. These are the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO), the Australian Intellectual Property Agency (IPA), and the South Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

In the directed documents, it is said that the Odyssey Neo brand can be used in the production of computer monitors and gaming monitors. And it is the gaming panels that, according to observers, will enter the new family.

LetsGoDigital notes that we are talking about the release of monitors equipped with Mini LED backlight technology. It uses an array of microscopic LEDs. Such illumination allows the implementation of local dimming facilities due to the division into zones with independent adjustment.

Alas, other details were not disclosed. The official presentation of the Odyssey Neo monitors may take place during the next quarter. They will be available in the global market.
