Samsung is preparing to introduce a new inexpensive tablet, which now has an SM-T505 catalog number, and third-party sources suggest that this may be the new Galaxy Tab A 7.0 model.

If it really will be the Galaxy Tab A 7.0, then we will get a significantly improved tablet, at least if we talk about the platform. The current generation of this device is based on an old quad-core SoC with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. Geekbench software tells us that the new model will receive an eight-core Qualcomm solution. Judging by the code name, this is either Snapdragon 665 or the relatively new Snapdragon 662, which is practically no different from the older sister. In any case, the performance gain will be huge.
Also, the tablet will receive 2 GB of RAM, and it is not yet clear whether there will be configurations with a large amount of memory.
