Europe will receive a smartphone without 5G
Samsung Electronics is currently actively developing its next flagship, the Galaxy Note20. Information about it continues to accumulate on the network.
Samsung will get rid of this camera in the Galaxy Note20. Users are not interested
According to Korean sources, Samsung is considering eliminating the ToF time-of-flight camera from the Galaxy Note20. Initially, it was planned to introduce ToF sensors in all Samsung smartphone lines, not even flagship ones. However, the Korean manufacturer changed the decision. As it turned out, they are almost never used in flagship models.
ToF sensors are required for various functions of augmented reality, “portrait” modes with blurring the background, “live” focus in the video, and the like.
It is noted that as a result, Samsung will not expand the introduction of ToF in the middle segment and may also abandon it in the Galaxy Note20.
It is also reported that in Europe there will be versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 with support for the only LTE, despite the gradual introduction of fifth-generation 5G networks.
The official debut of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 is expected in the second half of 2020.
