It does not affect the performance of the train
Deputy head of Russian Railways Evgeny Charkin said that foreign software used in Sapsan vehicles does not affect their reliability.
“Foreign software does not affect the performance of the train – first. Secondly, we have a powerful scientific engineering cluster in Russian Railways, which is dedicated to ensuring that rolling stock runs on domestic software. We don’t have such problems,” said Evgeny Charkin.
Last year, the Russian Railways holding company announced that the maintenance of high-speed trains Sapsan and Lastochka would continue under the leadership and control of Russian Railways within the framework of Russian legislation. Prior to this, the German concern Siemens announced that it would leave the Russian market amid events in Ukraine.
The head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, noted that problems with spare parts may only affect Sapsan trains, but this will not stop their movement.
