Previously, only Visa cards were supported
Sberbank launched its own contactless payment system SberPay in the summer of 2020, in fact, an analogue of Apple Pay and Google Pay. However, until now, only Visa cards have been supported. Now SberPay supports Mastercard.

As noted by Sberbank, the solution is available to all Mastercard cardholders who use NFC smartphones on the Android operating system.
SberPay allows you to pay for purchases with one touch with a smartphone in retail outlets equipped with POS terminals with Mastercard contactless technology. To do this, you need the Sberbank Online mobile application and the Mastercard of Sberbank linked to it.
To popularize the new contactless payment method, Sberbank and Mastercard have launched a joint campaign “Everything is in your hands”, which runs until November 29, 2020. Customers who pay contactlessly for purchases with a smartphone using the SberPay service with a Mastercard linked to it will receive additional bonuses from the SberSpasibo loyalty program, and five winners will be able to receive 1,000,000 bonuses.
