Tomorrow, March 20, Sea of ​​Thieves will be three years old. On the anniversary occasion, Rare Studios is giving away cosmetic items and offering a discounted game. Also, the creators reported that the pirate action game already has over 20 million users.

Sea of ​​Thieves gained  5 million players by August 2018, and in January 2020, their number increased to 10 million. In July of the same year, the developers told about 15 million players, and in December, they repeated this information. From this, it follows that over the past three months, another 5 million people have joined the action. It is known that the entire 2020 project has attracted  11 million unique users – approximately equally on the PC and Xbox of two generations.

  • Anyone who logs in before March 25 (13:00 GMT) will receive Prosperous Captain’s Sails. Xbox Game Pass members will also receive the Jump for Joy Emote.
  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can pick up the Sea of ​​Thieves Ocean Crawler Bundle for free until June 19 (02:59 UTC).
  • Sea of ​​Thieves has a 50% off Microsoft Store from March 18 to March 21.
  • From March 19 to March 23 (02:59 UTC), there is a Gold and Glory Weekend. Players can earn double the gold and reputation of the Trading Company and additional Seasonal Renown.
    • From March 19 to March 23, the Season One Twitch Drops Final Pack with Gilded Phoenix Gear and the new Hornpipe Dance Emote will be available from any Sea of ​​Thieves Partner.
    • The first installment of the new Sea of ​​Thieves Origins comic mini-series, dedicated to Sir Arthur Pendragon’s exploits, is available free of charge on ComiXology.
    • The release of the first season update has taken place, within which the Vault Raiders Event will launch on March 25. The Pirate Emporium has kicked off a big holiday sale, and new items are available, including a free ROFL emote.

    The first season began on January 28 and, like all future ones, will last about three months. During this time, the developers will add new events, mechanics, and decorations. Players can also earn rewards by unlocking Battle Pass levels.

    Sea of ​​Thieves is available on PC ( Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Since its release, the game has been included in Xbox Game Pass.
