SEGA Announces Retro Action Endless Zone – Tribute To Old Fantasy Zone Series

SEGA and studio The Eccentric Ape have announced the retro-action Endless Zone, a tribute to the old Fantasy Zone series, whose games were released until 2012. The release of the new project will take place within the framework of the 60th anniversary of SEGA. It will only be available for three days.

As the description of the Endless Zone says, long before Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless, Opbot was just another field surgeon and organ restoration specialist in Mesari’s army. But one day something happened, and the hero was on the run.

In a stolen escape pod with several guns, he tries to escape from the empire, escape from the tendrils of the fallen ones, and from the fate of being eaten by cravers. To do this, he needs to find a way out of a temporary breakthrough into the Riftborn universe.

Previously, SEGA announced two other small games – Golden Axed (a failed reboot of the Golden Ax series) and Streets of Kamurocho (a crossover between Streets of Rage 2 and the Yakuza series).

The Endless Zone will be available from October 16th 00:00 UTC until October 19th 20:00 UTC.  Once you pick it up, it will remain in your Steam library forever.
