Sega will release remaster of the detective action movie Judgment on next-gen consoles and Google Stadia

Sega publishers and development studio Ryu Ga Gotoku announced that the year before last year’s detective action movie Judgment will lose its PlayStation 4 exclusive status this spring.

As it became known, Judgment is planned to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and in the Google Stadia cloud service. The premiere is scheduled for April 23 this year.

On the listed platforms, Judgment will appear in an improved form: 60 frames / s are announced, faster downloads compared to the original release, and additional content already released in the kit.

The cost of the Judgment remaster will be $ 40 (the ruble equivalent is not specified). Unlike the digital edition, retail will not go on sale everywhere – only in the West (PS5, Xbox Series X and S) and in Asia, including Japan (PS5).

Portal Gematsu also said that Sega does not provide holders of Judgment on PlayStation 4 the opportunity to update the game to version PS5 or transfer to their preservation.

Judgment takes place in the same world as the Yakuza games. In the role of private detective Takayuki Yagami, gamers will not only have to complete quests and fight on the streets of the Kamuro-cho district but also investigate crimes.

The PS4 version of Judgment debuted in Japan back in December 2018, while the global release took place in June 2019. On the eve of the western premiere, Sega had to hastily change the appearance of one of the characters.
