Shadow Complex Remastered Earned On PlayStation 5 With New Patch

Epic Games and Chair Entertainment have announced a change in the game’s compatibility with PlayStation 5 on the official microblog of their action-platformer Shadow Complex Remastered.

As a reminder, Shadow Complex Remastered was one of 10 projects with PlayStation 4 that by default cannot be launched on the new Sony console in backward compatibility mode.

A special patch was needed to fix the PS4 version of Shadow Complex Remastered. According to the ORBIS Patches portal, the size of the patch is about 1.2 GB.

“Our team has released an update for Shadow Complex Remastered on PS4, and now [the project] is playable on PlayStation 5!” – the developers shared the good news.

The creators of Shadow Complex Remastered are not the only ones who did not want to see their creation on the ill-fated list: the authors of TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 and DWVR previously announced plans to add compatibility with PS5.

At the same time, Frozenbyte (Trine series) is not going to update its stealth-action Shadwen for PS5 – the project uses an outdated version of the engine, which the studio no longer has.

The original Shadow Complex was released in August 2009 on the Xbox 360. The PC version of the remaster became available for free in December 2015, and in the spring of 2016, the re-release reached Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
