Shadow Ninja Return: Introduced Aragami 2 with Co-op and Altered Combat System

At GamesCom 2020, Lince Works presented Aragami 2, a sequel to stealth action with a third-person view. The announcement was accompanied by the first trailer and a short gameplay video that appeared on the YouTube channel of the IGN publication. Fresh footage reveals the plot and demonstrates changes in the gameplay.

The Aragami 2 trailer reveals that users will once again assume the role of a stealth assassin. This time he will have to defend his homeland from aggressors who possess fire techniques: enemies are able to set fire to swords and use a variety of elemental techniques.

The main character’s arsenal of skills will also increase. He will be able to fight at close range, perform combinations of blows, parry attacks, and dodge. Recall that in the first part there was no contact combat, and the protagonist, after being discovered, was killed with one blow.

Judging by the gameplay video, the stealth mechanics in the sequel were also deepened: the main character will be able to hang on a ledge and hide the bodies of enemies in the bushes. The last major innovation in Aragami 2 will be a co-op mode for up to four people. Users will be allowed to transform into characters with different looks, but whether their skills will differ is still unknown.

 

Aragami 2 will release in early 2021, according to the Steam page. The announced platforms include PC, PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
