Sharp Aquos Zero 2 was introduced back in September and marketed as the world’s first smartphone equipped with a screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

On the official website of Sharp, there is a clarification of how this 240 Hz is implemented in the smartphone. The smartphone updates the image with a frequency of 120 Hz, but programmatically, when adding intermediate frames, the frequency increases to 240 Hz.

In the first quarter of this year, the smartphone went on sale in Japan, and now it is gradually entering the world market. Sharp Aquos Zero 2 is already available in Taiwan for $ 730.

Sharp equipped the Aquos Zero 2 with a single-chip Snapdragon 855 system, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory. The OLED display has a diagonal of 6.4 inches and is equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The screen protects the glass of Gorilla Glass 6.

The main camera contains image sensors with a resolution of 12 and 20 megapixels, as well as lenses with an aperture of F / 1.7 and F / 2.4. The front camera of this smartphone is 8 megapixel.


The battery capacity is 3130 mAh; the smartphone also offers users an NFC module and IP68 protection against dust and moisture.
