Sharp unveils mid-range smartphones Aquos Sense 4 and Sense 4 Plus with IGZO displays

Sharp Corporation introduced mid-range smartphones Aquos Sense 4 Plus and Sense 4, equipped with proprietary IGZO displays, which are based on indium, gallium, and zinc oxides. Panels of this type are distinguished by good color rendering and low power consumption.

The new products are based on the Snapdragon 720G processor, containing eight Kryo 465 computing cores with a clock frequency of up to 2.3 GHz, the Adreno 618 graphics accelerator, and the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem.

The Aquos Sense 4 Plus model is equipped with a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels (Full HD +), 8 GB of RAM, and a flash drive with a capacity of 128 GB. At the front, a dual selfie camera is installed in a configuration of 8 + 2 million pixels. Power is provided by a 4120 mAh battery. Dimensions are 166 × 78 × 8.8 mm, weight – 198 g.

The device Aquos Sense 4, in turn, received a 5.8-inch display with a resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels, 4 GB of RAM, and a 64 GB drive. The single front camera is based on an 8-megapixel sensor. The battery has a capacity of 4570 mAh. The device weighs 176 g and measures 148 x 71 x 8.9 mm.

Both new items received a quadruple main camera, which has incorporated a 48-megapixel unit (f / 1.8), a 5-megapixel module with wide-angle optics (115 degrees), a 2-megapixel micromodule, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The arsenal of smartphones includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters, an NFC chip, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The case is protected from moisture and dust according to IP65 / 68 standards.
