The release of Shelter 3 was expected in 2020, but in March of that year, the developers announced the premiere’s postponement to early 2021. By this time, the team also did not have time but promised not to delay the news too much.

As it became known, Shelter 3 will go on sale on March 30 this year, exclusively for PC (Steam). Despite the release’s proximity, pre-orders have not yet started, and the project page only offers to add the product to your wishlist.

On the occasion of the announcement, the developers presented a new trailer for Shelter 3. The video turned out to be not very informative: in less than a minute, the video only shows the release date and about 20 seconds of frames from the game.

Shelter 3 continues the previous parts’ tradition, each of which talked about a particular type of animal (a badger in the first game and a lynx in the second). The main characters of the prequel are elephants.

According to the developers, the Shelter 3 gameplay will become slower due to the elephants’ peculiarities. The world will become larger, and the central theme will shift from family and motherhood to legacy.

In Shelter 3, users have to explore the jungle, roam with their family, search for food and share resources, care for the elephants and learn from the elders to find a way for the entire herd.
